The seventh cycle of the series will be on "Best Practices in Corporate Governance: Boards, executives, investors, stakeholders". The course consists of a two-part basic course and two deep-dive training sessions as follows:
- Basic Course Part 1 and 2 [in Greek] – Stilpon Nestor, Stella Kontou (3-4 April)
- Deep Dive 1: Board operations and board and committee leadership: Global best practice [in Greek] – Stilpon Nestor, Stella Kontou (5 April)
- Deep Dive 2: Changing investor expectations: What do markets expect from companies and how they go about getting it [in English] – Jonathan Harker, Stella Kontou (6 April)
The two half-day basic course focuses on all key elements of corporate governance including the role of the board in setting the purpose of the company and developing a sustainability culture, board governance responsibilities and effectiveness, board composition and the role of committees. Participants will be reviewing the Greek and EU legal and regulatory framework, investor expectations and corporate best practices. The two half-day “deep dives” will explore in more detail various important topics and perspectives. All workshops are designed to be highly interactive, with a practical orientation.
Our faculty has a vast track record in training board members, senior management and corporate governance officers, and extensive and varied corporate governance experience. Members of our team that will present include Stilpon Nestor, Jonathan Harker and Stella Kontou.
