Nestor Advisors assisting the Croatian authorities to update their Code of Corporate Governance

The Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA) and Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) launched consultations on a draft Code of Corporate Governance for listed companies. The Code was last updated in 2010, since when there have been significant changes to Croatian law as well as advances in good governance practice.

Nestor Advisors is leading the Consortium that is assisting HANFA and ZSE in the development of the new Code. The other partners are Žurić & Partners and UMiUM Advisory, both based in Zagreb. The project is being sponsored by the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development.

Nestor Advisors and its partners are also helping the authorities to develop new reporting arrangements on corporate governance. The aim of these changes is to strengthen the corporate governance framework in Croatia as a key means to foster a vibrant local capital market.
