Two of the stories that made headlines are perfect harbingers for the kind of issues that are taking centre stage in the boardrooms of the planet: the acquittal of 39 sub-postmasters after 10 years of legal fighting over fraud allegations and the rise and immediate fall of the Super League in European football.
